Juanita Kiff, BSc, DKATI, is a mental health and substance use counsellor for the Circle of Indigenous Nations Society.
She offers an Indigenous approach to healing including earth based art therapy, direct service counselling, traditional talking circles and ceremony for the treatment of alcohol and substance use. She holds a postgraduate degree in art therapy and previously was an instructor at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute teaching courses on mental health and substance use, expressive art therapies and theory and practice.
Juanita has worked for the past six years providing case management, individual and group counselling and facilitates recovery groups in Nelson, Castlegar, Salmo and Trail for COINS. She provides a confidential and kind environment for individuals to travel through their wellness journey. She believes that all people are limitless in their ability to grow, learn and heal and that the more intimately we engage with our personal healing, the more universal the healing becomes.
